Several popular attractions in Southern California have closed Wednesday due to extreme wind conditions and fire risks, according to official statements.

The Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles announced it is closed for the day as strong winds make outdoor conditions unsafe.

Over on the coast, Pacific Park, the iconic amusement park on the Santa Monica Pier, also closed Wednesday.

A statement from the park cited local directives urging residents and visitors to avoid unnecessary travel, emphasizing that guest and employee safety is a top priority.

In Hollywood, Universal Studios Hollywood and its adjacent Universal CityWalk shopping and dining complex are shuttered.

The park shared via social media platform X that the closures are a precaution against “extreme winds and fire conditions.” Universal anticipates reopening Thursday but stated it will continue to monitor the situation to ensure safety.

Meanwhile, the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim remains open. However, Disneyland has advised visitors to stay updated on potential operational changes by checking the official Disneyland app.

Knott’s Berry Farm, located in nearby Buena Park, is operating as usual, unaffected by the weather conditions.

Guests planning visits to any of these attractions are encouraged to consult their official websites or apps for real-time updates on closures and operational changes.
